Where the whole thing started.
I’ve been perfecting this loaf since a fateful summer day when I twisted my ankle standing up too fast at the library. As a teacher I normally would keep busy hiking and stirring up one kind of trouble or another, but after going stir-crazy with a debilitating injury I taught myself sourdough bread which set me on the path towards starting this business!
I’m so happy to finally live up to our name and sell my country loaf. It’s not overly sour, just complex. Perfect for sandwiches, soups, an epic grilled cheese, or simply slicing into thick pieces with a generous spread of salted butter. I’ll bake it off in the morning before you pick it up; it might still be crackling if you listen close. You’re gonna love it.
